Iris Lodge Alpacas Accessible Experiences
Iris Lodge Alpacas Accessible Experiences allows you to get up close and personal with our herd of 75 alpacas and 7 llamas. The owner’s dad, (Gary Hooper) is a former Paralympian and MBE, who explained it is easy to navigate the paths.
Iris Lodge Alpacas Accessible Experiences offers the following experiences.

Iris Lodge Alpacas has been Ecotourism certified since July 2021
Located in Jilliby on the Central Coast of NSW, one hour north of Sydney and provide visitors with unique farm experiences. They provide you with the opportunity to get up close and personal with our herd of 75 alpacas and 7 llamas. During your visit, you’ll also meet their 40 Wiltipoll sheep, Angus cows and horses. Iris Lodge Alpacas offers the following experiences.

BREAKFAST WITH ALPACAS
The experience includes 2.5 hours with the alpacas, sheep and cows followed by a delicious leisurely breakfast with the alpacas and llamas.
On arrival Billy, their very special guard alpaca will greet you. He will want to be fed a banana before he will let you on the farm.
Walking up past the horses we meet Benny and the gang our flock of Wiltipoll sheep. They are keen on their grain and carrots. Here you’ll have the chance to hand-feed the sheep and learn about what makes wiltipolls different to other sheep. You’ll also meet Lola their Maremma who guards the sheep.
Next, you’ll walk down the laneway to their Angus cattle who’ll be waiting to be hand fed and given a pat.
From here it’s off to our herd of 75 alpacas where you will have the opportunity to hand-feed them their alpaca mix and carrots.
When the alpacas are full it’s time to round them up and  bring them to where we have breakfast
It’s now time for our breakfast watching the alpacas Breakfast includes a selection of cereals, yoghurt, a fruit platter, muffins, tea, bread, bacon & egg sandwich, tea, coffee, juice & water. gluten-free and vegan options are available.
Throughout the experience, we’ll provide information about the various animals we have and provide insight into their individual personalities.
ALPACA MEET & GREET
During this 45-minute experience, you’ll learn about our alpacas whilst you’re in amongst the herd hand-feeding them. Several alpacas enjoy cuddles and a neck rub.
ALPACA FARM VISIT
The experience includes 1.5 hours with the alpacas, sheep and cows You’ll first meet Billy, Ellie and their alpaca friends. Here they provide carrots as a treat for them.
Your next stop is their wiltipoll sheep. The sheep love their afternoon snack that you’ll get to hand feed them.
From here you head down to cows & calves and hand feed them.
Then get up close and personal with our herd of 78 alpacas and 8 llamas as you hand feed them their dinner.
